Global Special Effects Does Another Shoals Movie

Global Special Effects provided special effects for another movie, which is in production right now in Sheffield, Alabama.  The movie is called Finding Harmony and stars Billy Zane, who formerly played a leading role in the movie Titanic.  The movie also stars Alison Eastwood, who starred in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, and daughter of the legendary Clint Eastwood.

GSE president, Francisco Guerra, was the effects master for this specific film.  He used some of our specialty fog fluid and a hazer for interior shots to make rooms look old and dusty.  We can’t wait to see the finished product!

      Crazy! You’d be surprised at how many celebrities come through that Marriott… Our Marketing Director used to work there and obtained a guest list everyday. He said almost every single day he saw that some type of celebrity was staying there. Most of them are recording artists who are drawn to The Shoals because of its rich music history. Others were just passing through for golf and special events. It’s awesome to know that there are people like that right in your own backyard. It gives you a little more appreciation for this wonderful area we live in!
