Global Special Effects president, Francisco Guerra, and Director of Sales, Mark Wood, are traveling today to Virginia to visit Yankee Candle. They will be visiting one of the company’s two flagship stores, Yankee Candle Village in Williamsburg, where they will be training Yankee Candle technicians about how to successfully maintain their SnowMasters equipment. (See photo gallery at the end of the post.)
For the past five years, Yankee Candle has been using our T-1500 Evaporative Snow machines with their extravagant indoor Christmas display. They have truly been valuable clients over the years, so we are extremely happy to get the chance to spend some one-on-one time with them.
Yankee Candle Featured on Undercover Boss
If you didn’t catch their special episode of Undercover Boss, then you really missed out…it was extremely touching! The president of Yankee Candle visited their other flagship location in South Deerfield, Massachusetts, and posed as an employee, where he got to know and develop relationships with the other workers there.
[Spoiler Alert!]
At the end of the episode, he awarded multiple people thousands of dollars, scholarships, and leadership roles. Okay…not much different than any other episode of Undercover Boss, but it was quite the tear-jerker.
Why Undercover Boss Will Never Visit Global Special Effects
Undercover Boss would not have a successful episode if they ever tried to feature GSE. The main reason is because we are such a tight-knit family at this organization, that everyone already knows our fearless leader since he always makes a point to spend a little individual one-on-one time with all of us to make us feel special…when he’s not out-and-about visiting clients and flying helicopters!
Secondly, we could never fall for the “put on a fake mustache and glasses” routine, because he tries to pull stuff like that all of the time anyway. Whether it’s calling the office in his high-pitched, disguised voice, or sneaking up behind you while wearing the most realistic gorilla costume you’ve ever seen (not funny), it’s gonna be pretty hard for our president to pull one over on us.
…and now watch him try his best.
