We finally secured our brand new SSL certificate (as seen on the footer of our main page), which means when we soon start automatically processing credit cards, your information will be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  We will be testing the credit card feature today, so make sure that if you pay, you don’t choose the option to pay with a credit card.  This is currently only a test feature, and could possibly cause some problems if you were to actually use this feature.

The shopping cart and checkout features will remain completely active during this process, so don’t hesitate to place any orders — they will be processed just as they normally are — a representative will follow up with you shortly afterwards.  This is the step we are trying to circumvent in the future when we start to automatically process your information, and the SSL is a great feature to have on hand for that.

We are one of the only special effects companies that actually sells our merchandise online, and now we will be part of only a handful of companies that offers to securely transmit your information and automatically process your credit card.  Ouch!  Sometimes it kind of hurts to be so far on the cutting edge…
