Who is FogMasters?
FogMasters is a company owned by Global Special Effects that specializes in sales and manufacturing of fog and cryo products. We are based in Lexington, Alabama, and all of our products and fluids are made in the United States. All of the fluids that we sell are mixed right down the road at SnowMasters Labs, using professional lab-grade and fragrance-grade chemicals, which are all 100% approved by the FDA.
Who is SnowMasters Labs?
SnowMasters Labs is our sister company, also owned by Global Special Effects, that specializes in mixing, testing, and producing high-grade chemical solutions for use in the special effects products sold by GSE companies such as SnowMasters, FogMasters, FoamMasters, BubbleMasters, and Eco-Scent.
All of our fluids are completely water-based, and use de-ionized, UV-filtered water. We currently do not sell any glycerine/oil-based fluids. We currently offer the following fog fluids:
Dense Fog Solution:
Our Dense fog formula is the flagship of our FogMasters line of fog fluids. It produces a very dense, long-lasting fog. This specific formulation is a water-based special effects fog machine fluid, formulated to create a high-density, medium-hang-time fog — not quite as long-lasting as our Long-Lasting Fog Formula. When this fog fluid is chilled (with a low-lying fogger), it will create that long-lasting “thick as pea soup” fog effect. The density is amazing, creating a thick fog that causes things only a few feet away to disappear if the fog machine is allowed to run constantly. FogMasters Fog Fluid can be used in any water-based special effects fog machine, and all fluids can be chilled to produce low-lying fog.
Long-Lasting Fog Solution:
Our Long-Lasting water-based fog fluid formula creates an extremely long-lasting fog with an incredibly long hang-time. The fog effect is not quite as dense as our Dense Fog Solution, but is visibly longer-lasting. In still-air environments there are still wisps of this fog hanging around 20-30 minutes after the fog machine has been shut down! It’s absolutely perfect for haunted houses and other attractions where you need the fog to hang around for a long time. FogMasters Fog Fluid can be used in any water-based special effects fog machine, and all fluids can be chilled to produce low-lying fog.
Chiller Fog Solution:
Chiller is a water-based fog machine fluid that is specifically optimized for creating low-lying fog when chilled with a low-lying fogger. When not chilled, the fog effect created from the Chiller formula is more dense than our Quick-Dissipating or Extra-Quick-Dissipating formulas for a few feet, but unlike our Dense or Long-Lasting fog fluid formulas, Chiller dissipates quickly. When chilled, the effects will be similar, but the fog created will hug the ground in a thick layer and will dissipate quickly. This is perfect for a multitude of applications…including graveyard scenes! This is the best halloween fog that money can buy, guaranteed, and it’s great for theatrical performances as well. FogMasters Fog Fluid can be used in any water-based special effects fog machine, and all fluids can be chilled to produce low-lying fog.
Quick-Dissipating Fog Solution:
The fog created from this Quick-Dissipating fog fluid formula is noticeably lighter in density than either the Dense or Long-Lasting formulas, and dissipates very quickly — usually within 15 seconds in still-air environments. This fog solution is great for theatrical environments where lingering fog can be a problem. It’s also perfect for the motion picture industry, and has already been used in at least two motion pictures that we know of since its recent release in May. FogMasters Fog Fluid can be used in any water-based special effects fog machine, and all fluids can be chilled to produce low-lying fog.
Extra-Quick-Dissipating Fog Solution:
Similar to our Quick-Dissipating Fog Solution, the fog effect created from this formula is of a lighter-density than Dense or Long-Lasting, but will dissipate within 6 seconds in still-air environments. This fluid has also been used in at least two motion pictures since its recent release in May. This fluid produces more of a haze than a true fog, and it can be used in almost any water-based hazer on the market. Fog machines, specifically, are a no-brainer — FogMasters Fog Fluid will work in any water-based special effects fog machine, no problem, and all fluids can be chilled to produce low-lying fog.
